Toxic workplaces sometimes start at the top. Difficult, abrasive leaders can create a culture of tension, fear, and abusive behavior at every organizational level. After four years, John moved to Spokane, Washington. There, he worked for KXLY and KREM as a news reporter and anchor. Then, it was on to San Diego, California where he reported for KSWB. The Brilliant Jerk often responds with anger which is a form of the fight strategy when faced with a threat. Employees are aggressed and don’t get enough support to resolve issues, and they are left feeling disempowered, depressed, and confused about what to do. The demanding leader has high expectations of the desired outcome but when employees have failed their task, the demanding leader suspends judgement, thinks before reacting, and, therefore, is better able to listen to issues and find a constructive solution for the employee. Seth Berkley joined the GAVI Alliance as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in August 2011. Charles de Boissezon, retired was asked to take over as CEO of Geneva headquartered Hinduja Bank, a Private Bank, and he brings with him 37 years of International banking experience in London, Hong Kong, New York, Geneva, Chile, and Jersey. Charles is both French and British. He grew up in Vietnam and Hong Kong and spent his formative years in Geneva attending the College de Leman School. He then left for the USA to earn his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Boston University, Boston, Massachusetts. After graduating in 1971, Charles moved to London and joined HSBC as a trainee banker. Over the next 30 years, he held positions of responsibility at HSBC Offices worldwide in Hong Kong, New York, Djibouti, Chile, Brazil, and Argentina. When he quit in 2003 as Member of HSBC's Executive Committee based out of Geneva, he was an exceptional manager with a lot of international business acumen. He joined Banque Piguet & Cie SA the same year as Chief Executive Officer, a position he held until 2008. What is a Strategic Leadership Coaching? What does “detaching from the external results” imply for coaches? What does it mean for coaches to go back to essentials? On what else should coaches and other strategic leaders focus?
Nadine coaches technical experts to become leaders and strategic thinkers in their organizations. Who is Dr. Elena Espinal? Dr. Elena Espinal (Ph.D.) is a ICF Master Certified Coach (MCC). She has twenty nine years of experience in leadership development training and coaching, facilitation, strategic planning, and team building services. She was born in Argentina, moved to Mexico in 1998, leaving behind the foundation of the first School of Coaching acknowledged by the Secretary of Education and a Company; Team Power (México) dedicated to prepare high performance teams. She has worked with people from different cultures (Indigenous, and people of different social and cultural backgrounds).
